Staff Spotlight: Julie
As part of our Meet the Team series we had a chat with Julie - Queen of the Bouncy Blow Dry and our Extensions Expert.

How did you get into hairdressing?
I first got interested in doing hair when I was young. I attend a dance school and every year we put on an annual show and we had to have our hair done. After watching people doing my hair I got into it and started playing about with my sister's hair, starting with French plaits and then moving on to do hair up.
Soon I was doing all my friends' hair for the show - learning more news skills each time. It all gave me the urge to go and learn about doing it all properly...cutting... colouring...I realised very quickly that I enjoyed learning how to do all this stuff!
What's your favourite kind of work?
My favourite is colouring and extensions, I love cutting too but colouring and extensions are my fave.
You have an amazing reputation for your Extensions. How did you get into it?
I used to hate my hair and started wearing extensions to give myself a boost. Sitting there, watching my own ones getting done, I thought "I could do this" and so I started to teach myself all about them and went of various courses to understand all the different techniques.
As someone who used to wear them myself, I am very particular about the way they should look....its got to look natural and blend in seamlessly.
What's the best thing about being a hairdresser?
I get really excited when someone gets a big change. I literally feel the excitement when I get to show them the finished result and see their face light up. And I know that I've made that person feel amazing.
If you could be anything else, what would you be?
An air hostess. Being able to do your job in the sky, going from country to country in a day is crazy!
